Client: Inova Health System (Hospital Network in the Washington DC Metro Area)
My Role: I completed this project while serving as Chief Brand Strategist at Alliant Studios. I interviewed the program director, toured the facilities, researched competitive models, and reviewed existing presentation materials (a series of PowerPoint slide decks).
Challenge: In critical meetings to establish a three-year roadmap, the program director typically has less than five minutes to engage the CEO, the necessary gatekeeper for allocating the multi-million dollar budget. Our challenge, therefore, was to consolidate a deck of over 130 slides into a single graphic that would allow C-Level Executives to visualize both the current program and its future roadmap.
Solution: I developed a multi-layered diagram that could be used as a high-level talking point or drilled into to address specific interests and/or questions.
First Layer:
Virtual Care
Linear presentation of technology suite responsible for connecting doctors to a network of care.
Second Layer:
Connected Programs
An accounting of the existing departments/programs participating in the virtual health program. A four-part coding system (corresponding with the top-level, virtual care layer) communicates which technologies each program employs.
Third Layer:
Infrastructure
A broad level illustration of the technological and strategic infrastructure necessary for the program. A second slide includes an example of a third-party plugin and how it interacts with the broad infrastructure.
